Performance Guidelines: MEMORIZE These Guidelines!
Weekly “Origi” Weds Showcase:
1. ALL ACOUSTIC AGES, STYLES, GENRES, GENDERS, CULTURES, AND PEOPLE ARE WELCOME AS SINGLE OR DUO PERFORMERS.
2. Signup Begins at 6:30 pm “sharp” and must be done in person.
3. There is room for up to 9 performers per night for “weekly” Origi All Star Showcase nights. Performers must indicate whether or not they want to be a part of the evenings voting process for Cash and/or Prizes by sign the acknowledgment/affidavit sheet for each event.
4. In order for prizes to be awarded, There MUST BE AT LEAST 3 (THREE) PERFORMING CONTESTANTS ON ANY GIVEN SHOWCASE NIGHT. Every performer will receive their free Beverage, regardless of number of performers.
5. All Performers will be allowed 10 minutes to perform. Going over your ALLOTTED time may disqualify (at the hosts/managers discretion) ANY performer from the voting process, or from, receiving any prize!
6. The host may allow additional time per performer (at THE HOSTS discretion) IF on any given night, there are 4 (four) performers or less. Total time not to exceed 15 minutes per performer under these circumstances!
7. ANY performer/contestant who is not present (and ready) when their performance slot arrives, must still finish their performance by the end of their allotted time or may be disqualified from that evenings voting process.
8. ALL performances must be “Patron Appropriate” and/or “Patron Friendly” when applicable, at the hosts discretion. (See “Performance Standards”)
9. Each performer is responsible for bringing their own acoustic instrument and instrument cables, and your “set-up” must be simple enough to stage in five (5) minutes time or you will cut into your 10 minute performance slot. You may not bring/use a different P.A. system.

Bi-Monthly “ALL-STAR” Origi Showcase FINALS Time Slots:
1. There are 7-8 available time slots for the Bi-Monthly “ ORIGI ALL-STAR” NIGHT. They are filled with 1ST PLACE WINNERS from the preceding two (2) calendar months worth of “Origi”All Star Showcases. (Or at hosts sole discretion if a “wild card slot is open)
2. At 7:30 (SHARP) each “ALL-STAR” Performer will draw from a lottery jar to see which time slot they will be performing in.
3. The available time slots will be the same as any other SHOWCASE NIGHT: 10 minute slots with 5 minutes between slots, beginning PROMPTLY AT 7:30 PM.
4. VOTING BEGINS 20 MINUTES AFTER THE LAST PERFORMER IS FINISHED WITH THEIR TIME SLOT AND NO LATER THAN 10 PM. THE PERFORMER WHO RECEIVE THE MOST VOTING tICKETS (ON ANY GIVEN SHOWCASE NIGHT) IS THAT NIGHTS’ “ORIGI ALL-STAR” AND WILL BE ASKED TO PERFORM A FEW MORE SONGS AFTER THE PRIZES HAVE ALL BEEN AWARDED! THEY WILL ALSO BE ASKED TO RETURN FOR “ORIGI”ALL STAR NIGHT” on the last Saturday of every two calendar months for “Higher Level Prizes”.
VOTING RULES
1. voting ticket holders will vote for their favorite performer by writing that performers NAME, AND TIME SLOT LETTER on each voting ticket at the rate of 1:1. (One ticket per vote). VOTING CONTAINERS WILL BE PROVIDED, AND MADE AVAILABLE by us (so that you can vote and leave IF you choose)
2. Performers may vote for themselves or any other performer.
3. Any Performer may receive additional voting tickets if they choose to place a food or beverage order at the rate of 1: Appie of Dessert 2: Entree
4. VOTES WILL BE TALLIED 20 minutes after the last performer has finished with their time slot and no later than 10pm.
5. A Larger Voting Jar will be passed around and all present who have voting tickets will be asked to place the ticket in the voting jar.
6. The Host will then ask a person from the audience to read the votes one by one while the host tallies the votes.
IN CASE OF A TIE!
Weekly “Origi” Weds Showcase: The tying artists will split $100.00 and must kiss their sisters. ( just kidding, about the sister kissing!)
Bi-Monthly “ALL-STAR” Showcase: Bi Monthly Semifinalists ( who tie for 1st place ) will split $250
SUPER DUPER IMPORTANT!!! PLEASE TAKE NOTE: PREVIOUS FIRST PLACE (ALL-STAR) WINNER CONCESSIONS!!!!
So that we keep the OPEN MIC SCENE VIBRANT AND FRESH, ANY and All previous ( ORIGI”All-STAR) 1st Place Winners are welcome to return to perform at ANY given showcase night… in accordance with rules and regulations of the showcase. This IS a great way to build a “fan base” for semi finals or finals nights.
If a previous winner performs and wins the most votes (on that particular Wednesday) they may win the $100.00 and management will choose a semi finalist from the remaining performers.

IMPORTANT!!!
MEMORIZE the following Performance Standards!
1. ALL Performers will conduct themselves in a civil and friendly manner, or, they will be subject to disqualification from performing and receiving prizes.
2. The following are all cause for immediate disqualification from The F.K.M “Origi All Star” Showcase:
a. Violence or any threat of violence.
b. Heckling of any fellow performer.
c. “Hate Speech” or Vulgarity towards any person or patron on the premises of the event.
d. Over-intoxication. (At the discretion of the Host or Manager on duty, the evening of the Open Mic)
e. Any type of physical or verbal assault upon any person or patron on the premises (including the parking area).
f. Any damage or destruction of property on the premises (including the parking area).
AFFIDAVIT OF ORIGINALITY AND PERFORMANCE RIGHTS:
(Participants, must sign affidavit stating that they OWN all rights to ANY & ALL material that they perform, and/or that said material is ALL “ORIGI”NAL , CREATED BY THEM, AND PERFORMED FOR (THEIR) OWN PROMOTIONAL EFFORTS IN ACCORDANCE WITH ALL OF THE RULES OF THE SHOWCASE, AND AT THE DISCRETION OF BellaNovaMusic Svcs & THE MANAGEMENT OF FRYEBURG KITCHEN & MARKET.)
